Dear brothers and sisters.
The first reading of this weekend tells us: "He said to me, “You are my servant, Israel, in whom I will display my splendor.” And now the Lord says— he who formed me in the womb to be his servant to bring Jacob back to him and gather Israel to himself, for I am [a] honored in the eyes of the Lord and my God has been my strength— (Isaiah 49:3-3, 49:5-6)
The passing to the eternity of Monsignor Michael Eivers and his beautiful words that has led us, coincide with the plan of God expressed in Isaiah. His vocation as Pastor today is evidence in his commitment to the church until the end. We are honored to have had on our community a shepherd filled with the Holy Spirit and zeal for souls, who was accompanied by years of evangelization of the Cell System. God granted the prize to the faithful servant who in turn did what his Lord ordered him.We thank God for his life and we pray for all the work of salvation that was held in his deliverance. That it be blessed and be witness of the love of God.
